How much was your CAMaster setup?

Hey guys, I do not own a CAMaster or any CNC machine at the time, but have been doing some extensive research on them. It seems like CAMaster is better quality than some of the other cnc routers in its class, and I am wondering how it stacks up price wise.

I am curious:
What model you own?
What extras have you added on?
What software you are using?
What field are you in? (cabinet, sign, furniture, other?)

If you could break down rough estimates of these costs it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

i have two camasters, all machines are different as to what an owner wishes to use it for and specs are all over the board. as you said you are doing extensive research so i am sure this is not new to you, i spent 4 months just finding level between all the different manufacturers. my x3 508 was 28.000 and the single head camaster 408 with a 5 hp columbo was 19.500 i have added my own vacuum on both tables. i use cabinetparts pro and aspire for machining and cabnetware for design (i have had it since 97) there is an owners forum at www.camheads.org

i would call joey he is an awful nice fellow

the machines are overbuilt for thier size and for the money and class of machine there is not another this heavy, it certainly does not stand second best to any, if you want i can show you mine online

I emailed them earlier this morning for a feature/spec sheet along with pricing of their different models and accessories.

Do you happen to know the base prices of each?

Cobra X3 -
MC Cobra -
Pro Series -

I think the 3 head idea on the Cobra is excellent, and very cost efficient.

i really would not know a base price i have friends here in sc that have 4x6, one has a 3x6 another a x3 408 and in charlotte a 5x10 atc with lathe, if you emailed them them they will respond, i have excellent contact with them and most of the other owners thru the forum many have come here to train. what do wish to accomplish with your machine and what type of material are you working with.

I'd like to accomplish nested custom cabinets (most important), custom furniture parts, and also custom carvings. Preferred table size would probably be 4x8 (enough for full sheet)
