PARLEC Presetter

Hello all,
I have an older Parlec Tool presetter model P10-1216 equipped with a CPU (position display is not on the unit, but on a monitor). The video card, a Coreco Oculus TCi XR-M130-11830 is defective and I have looked all over and cannot find one. The presetter is only 10 years old and is discontinued.
Any one with suggestions?

If it is like ours, you can probably just replace the video card with any one that has windows drivers.

Ours is running on windows 98 box, and there isn't anything special about the video card for the main windows display. Or are you talking about the camera capture card?

I had once talked to parlec about being able to upgrade our system to a newer OS and because of the drivers and hardware it was going to be a couple grand (I'm thinking about $7000). That would have been new camera card, i/o cards, and camera I think. AKA all the non standard PC stuff plus the camera in the arm.

Yes the windows video card works, as I can boot the system and interact with windows. The camera capture video card is the problem...I should have been more specific.
I am still looking for the card and have had no luck.

I haven't had any time or reason to play with our presetter of late. Although I would love to get the system hardware updated and running XP....
I did run across www.arstech.com that sells a USB 2.0 to ISA backplane that MIGHT allow using the isa cards with new hardware. I think I have working win 2000 drivers for the Oculus TCi , and Heidenhain IK 121 as well. But never tried to reinstall on 2k. I know there is some setup and calibration that gets done, and that is password protected in the parlec software.

You might try a Coreco Oculus TCI SE XR-M130-10930 instead... no idea if it works, just that the drivers seem to support it. And there seemed to be several references to that model for sale as used or surplus when doing some searches. Be sure to watch e-bay as well.
