    SPC

    Looking for a descent SPC software that is not realy costly
    any help would be great

    You need data to be dumped from tools? If not, you can do this stuff in excel.

    There used to be a book about this topic.

    I mostly write my own in VB for dedicated gauging stations that I build.

    You may want to check out QI macros from qimacros.com. Pretty handy package if you're doing standard SPC type stuff.
