Everyone laugh now. I had a OLD miti pair that crapped out in my garage, so.. Went to Harbor freight and bought the 12.99 6" pair. Figured, just for garage stuff, no biggie. Checked them with my standards, ring and mic, and the dam things were within .0005! I couldn't believe it, so I had our inspector check them on our ziess, same results! He bought a pair for home to.

I've had bad experiences with the tesa and great experience with the mititoyos.

"keep em clean and treat them right" yes....but they don't last forever.

If you're measuring hole distance from an edge all day every day....they wear out and lose their accuracy.

SPC stands for Statistical Process Control.

It's a way of analysing loads of measurements.
I love deadlines- I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.

    Wink Digital Calipers

If you have dosh($), it worth buying caliper with IP65/67 protection, and a 8" version. Also worth checking out Mahr (Federal) calipers.
