I purchased one of these today after a great discussion with another fellow in the industry. As far as setting up the offset calculations I am still a little fuzzy.I will require my Z0 to be the center of my 4th axis.There may be several methods for finding this. So far I've heard of setting Z0 to what one thinks is close to center ,running a two sided 1mm test disk in the rotary chuck.Then adjust Z0 from the actual thickness of the disk.I guess then I would use the offset gage placed on the table, to record offset for future tool changes etc.? I would be interested in any feedback or other methods for this setup.
