    encoder specification question

    Hi to all

Can you please help me to know more about encoders specification.

    please see below picture:

I get confuse in below question :

1- Why number of line is 4096 but number of step per revolution is 262144 in type A ?

2- Does this encoder can generate 262144 pulse per one rotation? or 4096 pulse per one rotation?

I saw in some encoders these specifications :
5 arcsecond for accuracy and resolution 36148 per revolution.

What is the mean of resolution?

No1, this is a Gray code encoder, not quadrature, this produces an absolute digital value per revolution, the resolution is capable of 4096 for every .09° , the resolution can also be obtained (x64) by reading 1 count for every .0014°.
    This results in a smaller reading/result/360° .
In this case, the encoder resolution is either programmed into the encoder or the control itself, which means this encoder is designed for part of a dedicated controller or drive.
