I've just been given an old Renishaw MP3 probe, complete with a 50 and a 100mm ruby tipped probe, unfortunately it had been sitting under someones workbench for the last 15 years and is a little the worse for wear.
It was covered in oil, dust, dirt you name it and both the inner and outer diaphragms are shot. So I've stripped it down and given it an untrasonic bath. Now it's nice and clean and works a treat, I've emailed Renishaw about some replacement diaphragms but was wondering if anyone else had stripped one down before and could tell me if there is supposed to be any electrolube type oil inside under the inner diaphragm please?
