| Hi, I use Cadkey ver 7, and I also use a Wacom tablet, but not together. As far as I know, and I only use the cadkey and tablet for hobby use, the Cadkey will produce drawings to co-ordinates that you decide, whereas the Wacom tablet will follow the movement of the pen on the tablet as your hand guides it, much like a mouse but more precise.
As I understand it to "digitise" a drawing, are you referring to having a plain drawing of some object and trying to pick up co-ordinate points that will be converted to digital information that will be fed to a laser cutting machine?
I would assume that anything that you wanted to cut with a laser, mill, router
or anything that is CNC controlled, then the drawing would have to be drawn with the co-ordinate points to set the program.
If I'm wrong on this just disregard the previous.
