KeyCreator 4.5 and cadL export?

Hi.

I have an old KeyCreator 4.0 license, but the option to export to cadL is missing from the menu. (Actually have 4.0.2 installed) I found on the internet that there should be a 4.5 patch/upgrade availlable to licenesed 4.0 users, that allows upgrade to 4.5, which includes cadL export. However, it doesn't seem to be available on the Kubotek website for download.

Does anyone know how I can get this 4.5 upgrade/patch? I rang the local supplier but he didn't have it readily available either

I haven't tested it but,

Mastercam X3 exports to .CDL

and opens . CKD

As a dedicated Cadkey user I was surprised that MC had it

How about going thru IGES?

To give a little more background, our design staff use KeyCreator and then export to cadL, which then goes to our own custom software. We don't really want to have to buy another product, and do need cadL format for our inhouse software. Thanks!

I guess I don’t understand the problem. KC 4.0 should have the CADL export. Every version I’ve used since 1989 had that option. Have you tried to reinstall? Ver. 4.5 would have been an upgrade not a patch. I just went through my upgrades/patches and couldn’t find any 4.0 or 4.5 programs so I guess that is when we dropped KC for a few years to try Solid Edge.
