    Porsche drawings

I'm working on drawings for a 6 cylinder horizontally opposed engine. This will be a beaut engine for CNC machining, as everything is repeated for each cylinder. I don't have a workshop any more so I'm looking for someone to build the prototype

I'd like to make a miniature porsche engine my next project any one know of a source for really Porsche drawings?

My first engine plans were for a 3.2Hp V8 glo plug engine featured on www.metalbashatorium.com

    Grue,
I have a mini-mill here, (3-axis), and I need to put it to work. I don't know where to get Porsche drawings unfortunatley...but I have always wanted to build a miniature engine. So if you have the drawings, I have the machine. And I'm fair with my pricing. Anyway, let me know if there is anything I can do for you!!

    I could do too.

I have a new 2hp grizzly mill converted to ball screws and CNC.

You might want to consider 3d digital builds though. If just drawing or doing 2d, you will probably miss a lot of stuff. I design my own, using Inventor and its really great.

Thanks for the replies Dennis and Spinnetti,

There's a market out there for unique engines. There are some pics and examples on the http://groups.yahoo.com/group/V8_Engine_builders
    board.

I'm not in the position to build the V8 from the plans on my site but have had a couple of enquiries from folks who want a completed engine. If you guys have completed running engines for sale, you're welcome to put them on my site (assuming you don't like to sell on ebay).

If you would like to build a V8 to sell, I'll send you a set of plans, on the proviso that I can offer the finished engine for sale. The castings are available from Florida USA, but you'll have to purchase them from my colleague @ $50US

Should you have engines for sale contact me at oldcramo.splinter@yahoo.com (remove the dot splinter)

Not to be rude, but the "v8" in the link looks extremely crude, and does not look to be any kind of running engine. While it can be fun to build anothers design, if you are going to bother, you may as well do a good job at it. Most in this hobby want to get as close to the real thing as possible, for instance: http://members.aol.com/ronc9876/bookpage/Offy20x.html

Sorry, I have no desire to do that sort of work. Sorry for jumping the gun.
