    Valve adjustment question

    Hello,
I have a question about the valve adjustment on a kawasaki 350cc engine , it is in a club car (golf cart).
It has overhead valves and rocker arms and pushrods. But there is no adjustment screws at the top . I do not think it has hydraulic lifters.

It looks like to me you have to file off some material on the valve to get the clearance as you do on some briggs engines.

Any Idea's? I figured I would ask before I started removing some material .

    Thanks !

Just looking around, I believe they have shims of different sizes.
Rather a pain to adjust, some worse than others.
Is it that bad they need adjusting, because without the right strange tools expect some **&(*& adjectives.
A few google searches should lead too some detailed information.
    Good luck!

    Neilw20,
hello. I know what you are talking about with the shim adjustment. I am very familiar with that one as I am a full time motorcycle mechanic.
This one has no shims (you are right , kind of a pain) just a simple rocker arm and push rods.
The more I think about it the more I think I have to remove some material to adj it.

I am not familiar with those engines. I once had a Honda 350 which adjusted by an eccentric rocker arm. The arm was rotated to achieve the clearence. Look on line for the info.
Mentally confused and prone to wandering!!

Yeah , I did a google search . I did not find out much. The guy at our local farm equipment store said it might have the eccentric rocker arm pin -- but I was not that lucky.
