I know the odds of anyone knowing this are slim, but I'm looking for the current rating needed to actuate the spindle brake solenoid on a Series I Boss 6 Bridgeport. I want to buy a 24VDC power supply, and need to know how much oomph to get. Thanks in advance! Ian  |

| If it is a DC coil then just measure the resistance and use ohms law. If you do not have one yet a typical value is 20ohms tops for that application. For a solenoid you just need a transformer and a bridge rectifier. Home depot sell output selectable bell transformers etc for ~$10.00. Remember to put a reverse EMF diode across the coil. Al.
