Made my first parts on a manual lathe today!!! I am in a CNC Machine Class ad DeAnza college and they require you to learn how to operate manual lathes and mills before going on to CNC stuff... Anyway, I have operated only cncs machines before.. Today I make my tap handles... OMG I can not believe how much effor it takes to make one on a manual machine... Its a damn art... No i know what that old guy was talking about... I did it on a Hardinge lathe, it was really kool... took me like 4 hours to make two of them... |
