| At once the X and Y don't move anymore, the Z is OK. When I pusch the jog button I hear a sound like moving a motor but the axe is not moving, well just a tiny bit, with power on the axes are locked. With the power off, I can move the axes by hand but it feels like I can feel the steps when I turn the axe. Someone knows what's wrong? |

| In all probability, you have shorted transistors. They are on black heatsinks attached to the right side of the logic cabinet. Motorolla 2N6547. Typically they blow when the output of transformer T2 is above 63VAC. Also the current through the DC fuses must not exceed 8.0 amps. Fuses 12, 13, and 14. Adjusted at the ACC board. Possible but not likely that the bridge rectifier are bad. Put the axis in step and step the axis. If it goes forward, forward, forward, and backwards, it is a transistor. But to quote you, "no one knows much about these machines." I will not apologize for not knowing the power set up on machines sold in countries other than the USA. George

| Thanks George. About my quote, I couldn't understand what the manual starter was, with the electric schematic it's easy. So I just wondered that no one could tell me what it is, that's why it looked like not much people are involved with those things anymore. Sorry but I didn't mean to offent someone. |

| This machine is to retrofit, but I like to move the table, if it works again, by hand programming in the MDI pendant, something like : G91,G21,G01,X100,F500. Wich buttons do I need to push to put these parameters in the system and how do I start the machine doing it? There is nothing in my manual about the function of the buttons. |

| I tryed in step mode, no move, the motor sounds a bit like ideling? when I pushed in step it looks like the axis try to move, when I push a second time the axis likes to move the other way round, not realy moving but the belt gets some tention. I recorded it, the sound of the working Z axe, and the sound of the not working X/Y axes, but how could I post that? This one? Last edited by kitman; 10-30-2009 at 03:27 PM. |

| Use a meter and check for a shorted transistor between emitter and collector. Also check voltages and current. These machines are known to eat transistors. But set up correctly, can be very reliable. There are many posts about all of this. George
