Hello All,
I have a 1995 Bridgeport Discovery with DX-32 controller. All was going fine, and then the machine stopped at the end of a tool path (not operation) and threw a #83 PM error. The machine completely stopped as if I engaged the emergency stop.
The error seems to be related to the automatic oiling system on the machine. It stated that too much time has gone by with out the oilier doing its job. I checked and it indicates ( according to current settings) it should run (the oilier) continuously. A value of 0 = 100% run time while axis are moving.
Well, I ran the machine several times, and it keeps erroring out in the same exact spot. Time related?
I need to know how to update the #83 error so I can set it to run at larger intervals than 100% LOL. I also need to know how to tell the controller that all is ok. I cannot find a way to reset this error.
BTW, the motor is spinning on the oilier. But, the only way to build pressure in the oiling system is manually, which is how I have been keeping it oiled.
Thanks,
CD
