I’ve finally got my V2XT running again but when the spindle stops after finishing a program, the air blows out of the manifold at the rear of the machine. Do any of you know what the black boxes are with the red arrow pointing to it and why they are running so hot? Thanks in advance for helping out a newbee! |

| hi, not familiar with the machine but they look like solenoids on a hydraulic control block to me. basically they are coils of wire wound according to their voltage. anything from 12,24,110,240,380v. the 12 and 24 can be ac or dc. i have seen them run hot on some units as they can run all the time even if a machine is not processing. i wouldnt worry about it as they are designed to do this in some cases. also hot oil flowing nearby does not help with cooling. if they never were like this before pop off the caps and check the voltages with a meter and compare with the specs on the coil blocks. regards j |

Thank you so much for the comeback J! That is exactly what it is all right. I took the old unit off and took it with me to an industrial hardware supply and the new replacement was 56 dollars US. So we’re back to carving metal again and the spindle turns off without the air blast plus, it no longer runs hot. |
