If this has happened suddenly, I would suspect it is the trip dog switch. There are probably overtravel limit switches on each end of travel[they are not normally ever hit] and then a trip dog at the z+ direction. If that switch is jammed or shorted, it will do as you describe. If parameters have been changed or some other problems, it may be a different problem

Problem has been partially solved by changing parameter MP1320 . Now machine is moving its z axis in + direction towards up but on touching the refence switch it is not being home and continue to move in the same direction. Control first i wrote mistakenly 307 but it is actually 370 haidenhain. The other two axis X & Y are OK and comes to theire home position. The reference switch is working properly. Please guide me in this regard wahid bashir

The problem occured after power interruption of main line. I have read in a service manual following. If after power on of the machine no or not all reference marks were traversed (e.g., due to a previous change to another operating mode) with PASS OVER REFERENCE MARK the reference mark traverse must be activated. Select the manual operating mode and press the soft key. --> Traverse reference points appears on the screen. What you say in this regard.
