Hello, I recently purchased a R2E3, which was running for a bit. Now, when I power it up and hit the axis drive enable button, I get an axis limit alarm with the red error LED illuminated. I verified that I was not on a limit switch, I checked each of the limit switches to ensure that they were ok, and checked all of the fuses. Any other suggestions? Thanks. Jeremy |

| Humor be but check the oil level in the automatic way oiler. As far as the limit switches go, they are witrd in a string that I can access in the back of the machine on a terminal strip. Thus I can go right down the line and see where the circuit is open. May not need be a switch. George

| George, I did also check the fluid level, forgot to mention that. I just received an electronic copy of the maintenance manual today... One of the items may be the spindle motor overload relay? I'll have to check that out and let you know how I make out... Thanks. |

| Per page 1 of the schematic, the 24 VDC comes from the extreme limit switches at wire 45 and goes to the spindle motor overload coming out at wire 246. Before going to these switches, it goes through the emergency stop switch - just a note to make sure it is pulled out. The overload has a red piece of plastic, sticking out of it. Press it in to reset it. Check for continuity between 45 and 246 to make sure it has continuity. George
