Interact Problem after Transportation

Hi, i have recently bought a Bridgeport interact 2500 with a heidenhaim control unit.

I saw the machine working when i bought it, but after transporting it to my unit, the machine powers on, however when i try to power the motors to home the 3 axis there is no response.

Could there be anything that i have overlooked or need to check after transportation? As my knowledge is only with a relatively simple EZtrack.

Any information would be much appreciated.

Be very specific

does the power enable work?

it may just be on a limit

Hey Nippy, Does it have a battery backup? Could be you've lost all your paremeters, and will have to reenter them after you've replaced with New batterys.

thanks for the reply. When i turn the main power on the montor/control panel boots up but when i try to enable power to the motors nothing happens. just a small click from the rear panel and while the button is pressed this message comes up at the top:

"Pass over reference point"

I believe it has got battery backup, would i be able to tell if the battery was the cause?

You have not lost your parameters

If you had it would probably be in German

If any of the axis are near the end of travel, move them off

It could be anything in the EMO string, including lube level

it may be obvious but you have checked that the feed rate override knob has not been turned right down as i have fallen in to this trap on my interact 1 mk 2 with TNC2500 FITTED. make sure the knob is turned up ie clockwise.
