Hello, Our Ez-Track mill is out in the z axis as much as .030" when the quill is fully extended ( approx. 4.5"). Basically, what we measure with an indicator does not correspond to the displayed value. We have just replaced the encoder on the z axis motor but this has not solved the problem. Could it be the backlash or leadcomp settings? Perhaps it is the slide which measures the z axis travel? All suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

| So the error is progressive as the Z moves and returns to 0? Have you checked the lead error/pitch error comp? At the main screen press *, a window will pop up asking for a code. The code is 11235 followed by ENTER twice. George
