Need Help!- Bridgeport help needed

I have a 1995 bridgeport romi lathe. The label says bridgeport EZ path-romi CNC. WHEN I turn the machine on I get an alarm, FAULT NO SFT PARAM. ALSO SAYS NO BMDC DESKTOP-HIT ENTER. I CAN NOT MAKE THE MACHINE GO TO HOME POSITION. I THINK THE PROBLEM IS EITHER THE MOTHER BOARD OR WHATEVER THE BIG BOARD THAT IS ATTACHED TO IT IS. IF I WIGGLE OR TAP OR HIT THAT BIG BOARD ONCE IN A WHILE IT WILL WORK. ALSO WHERE CAN I GET THE BOARD I NEED. JIM 417 739 2860 PUSHRODS@CEBRIDGE.NET

The BMDC is not loading the software it needs. The BMDC actually runs the machine and has its own processor.
Could be that your CMOS is corrupted. Could be that you have corrupted software. Your hard drive could be failing.
But first thing I would try is to pull the BMDC out and clean the edge connector with a soft eraser. You could also try a different ISA slot on the mother board.
A replacement is over a thousand dollars from EMI-INC.net. They will probably recommend a mother board upgrade, with a DOM and new logic power supply.
