Hello Everyone, Machine: Bridgeport series 1 CNC with BOSS 5 controls. Question: Why does this happen, and what is the cure? Problem: The problem is that when I run a canned drill cycle, the x axis goes into rapid travel and will run out to the end of the axis. I stop it from crashing by hitting the hold button. I think this problem is inherent to the system, because it was mentioned by someone who had a couple of these machines. The machine was originally a tape drive. I bought a rs 232 serial kit and had the machine connected to my computer. I program using notepad. If anyone know how to correct for this problem I would greatly appreciate instructions to resolve the issue. Thank you very much and have a great day!
