Hi, After I enable axis drives I'm suppose to hit enter and then execute to begin homing. The axis drives do turn on but the machine will not start to home.Under help key it tells me "ADE went to jog due to zap" and "jog before homing".My Manuel shows me this under success events but does not tell me how to fix it.Any help would be appreciated Thanks Keith |

| Axis Drive Enable went to a Emergency Stop condition due to a machine fault (ZAP). Maybe a axis is sitting on a axis limit switch. Most common is the Z axis. Try using JOG OFF LIMITS. Z axis first. But usually if the Z axis goes too far, things get bent up inside where the switch is and possibly the Z axis is jammed. You may need to remove the fiberglass surround, and swing away the CRT, remove the sheet metal access plate and check the Z axis switch and mechanism. If the Z is jammed, you will have to un-jam it. Hi George First Id like to say THANK YOU for all the times you helped me over the past few years on this machine. The Z Axis is not jammed.I can move all 3 axis manually When I hit the axis drive the drives turn on but my screen goes to setup jog not to the screen that says "important "and then I hit enter, that screen goes away then I hit execute to home. Im also blowing fuse 5 in the back panel any ideas? THANKS KEITH Last edited by theguild; 05-04-2009 at 03:57 PM. |

| Keith, per the maintenance manual Fuse 5 protects 2 fans. I would make sure they are not bad. Going to jog, means it thinks it is on a extreme limit switch. You may need to check them for a broken wire. In other words at the end of this switch string you need to see voltage. George
