I have an old J head with a Fairbanks-Morse 1 HP motor. After having a friend help me rewire it from 440 to 220, I had it running for a day. Now it will not start quickly like it was(and should). It pulses and heats up quickly. I am running a static phase converter. Any advise or wiring help would be greatly appreciated!! I have recently rebuilt the head and now need to finish this project so I can sell the machine. I have bought another mill that is newer and I want to get it in the garage, but I need to get this one sold first. A properly running motor will help it move quicker!! THANKS!! Joe |
