Anilam 1100 Tool change

Hi

I'm just trying to get my first program to work on an Anilam 1100 equipped Bridgeport Clone mill.

I am trying to single step through the programme to see what happens, no tool, spindle off, table cranked down well out of the way, I just want to check that the table and spindle do what's expected.

When I get to a line calling for a tool change, it will not move on from that stage. I'm not sure whether I need to press something specific to continue at a tool change or whether the post has not correctly formatted the command. Certainly just pressing the green go button isnt getting me past this line.

The offending line is...

6 Tool #2 Mcode 8

The manual I have isnt complete so it may be that I am missing something truly basic here (hopefully)

If anybody can advise, that would be a real help.

Thanks

Paul

Ok

Figured it out. For some reason it doesnt like the coolant on command ie:

Mcode 8

As soon as I re post to take that out, everything goes fine. I dont understand why it doesnt like it but I'm okay with turning the coolant on manually for now.

What exactly does your code look like when turning on your coolant via M8? What else is in the line with the M8? Can you not just put the M8 in a seperate line by itself?

Hi Stevo

The line looks like this....

6 Tool #2 Mcode 8

I havent tried putting it on a seperate line yet as I will be using an external coolant pump and havent wired it in yet.
