How to tackle the 1000 block limitation

i have a heidenhain TNC 145 fitted on BP S2 I2 i can easily transfer 1000 block to the machine but for mold making my shortest program is of 20000 lines. Is there any technique (hardware or software or even both) that can automate this process for at least several thousand lines ?

Waiting for reply,

Regards,
A.A

AFAIK, 1000 is it on the 145 Perhaps your post could be setup to waste fewer lines. the 151 is a bolt in, and I think it does blockwise transfer

I used to have an TNC145 on my BP series2 interact2 (now switched over to Mach3). I have made molds on it having upto 80000 lines in a single program. This controller jumps back to line number 0 after line 999. I broke my program into segments of 500 lines. Putting the line numbers from 0 to 499 and 500 to 999 on alternate files. Load the fist 1000 lines and when the program execution goes past line 499 then pause the machine and load the next program which has line numbers 0 to 499. This overwrites the previous proram in memory. And when it goes past 999 then load the next program having line numbers 500 to 999. Made a qbasic program to segment the long program file generated by my CAM software. Takes a long time to finish a long cut path like this but it's the easiest workaround I cound find to tackle the 1000 line limit. Maybe somebody has a better solution.

A.A,
I have the 155b and I contacted Heidenhain and they told me hold to set it up for block transfer. You'll need to go into your parameters and change the one for block transfer and then Rick at Heidenhain (847-519-4858) told me how to download a program off Heidenhain's web site. the trick is that when you save a g-code program from a text file to a .H file and then it will transfer.
Hope this helps.
Ben

check if the tncremo software has a solution for this. i have a 410 but you can choose into the software much older controls.

Sorry, there is no way to get more lines to your control. Other than transferring sets of 999 or less.
