Just want to know if I can permanently remove the clutch assembly for the down feed and the down feed gears to make it easier to design a Z axis for CNC. I mean I want to know if I pull those assemblies out for good if it will mess up other gears and such. I take it if I can remove them I'll have to make an aluminum plate to block those areas off to keep oil in and dust out? TIA |
