TNC 145 Operational Issue

Hello Everyone,

I am new to Heidenhain TNC 145 Controller. My question may be very stupid one but, while performing reference return (going to home position ) manually after machine is powered ON. The position displays (seven segments ) of X, Y, Z axis do not change . Why the digits on there displays not keep on changing while the machine is moving towards the home position ? Is there any one who can help me in this regard ?

TNC 145 == No DNC ( Not a good idea............)

I am unable to understand your reply gus. I just came to know that i cannot drip feed TNC 145 and it appeared to me very strange i am fond of generating and using thousands (sounds too much) of lines of codes and know i am unable to understand that how am i going to tackle this issue.

What is to understand, there is nothing wrong, digits don't move during homing. The machine has but 1000 blocks of memory, and only conversational programming, DNC is not a possibility
