Z axis keeps stopping on Boss 5 - CNCzone.com-The Largest Machinist Community on the net!

Hi All,

My machine keeps stopping in the Z axis during a programe, never the same point !! I have used the programe many times before with no problems. Any ideas where I should look for the possible cause. The machine has only just started to do this.

Final drive transistors.
Bridge rectifier.
High resistance in DC side fuse holder.
ACC (current regulation board) out of adjustment.
Quill getting gummed up.

The machine works again, once I power down, then power up. I will check the areas you mention.
