Just got a Series IISD - need help programming

I am new to this site and this is my first post to see if anyone can help. I just got a Bridgeport/Romi EZ path II SD and its a nice lathe, but I have a little project I would like to run on this.

I know the machine can do threading but can it do face threading? i.e. a spiral groove on a face? If it can how would I go about that?
