Hi Hopefully this question is Ok on this forum... I have a Bridgeport clone with an INT 30 taper on the spindle. Is it normal for Int30 spindles to rely on the taper / drawbar for locking ? mine doesnt seem to have any drive lugs on the end of the spindle. My previous machine (also int 30) did have driving lugs that engaged with the flange on the toolholder. Any thoughts much appreciated. Thanks Paul |

| BB, Yes, there should be atleast one drive ear/lug. 30 is small but if you put a 3/4 emill in there and you do some hogging, watch out! There should be a provision for a lug. If there is, just make one out of mild steel. Mine is still holding in my old Shizouka from 16 years ago. JT |
