Interact 1 Mk.2 help

Hi all,

I just bought a 1988 vintage Interact 1 Mk.2 with Heidenhain TNC-151 control. Any source for schematics for the spindle drive system? It's by KTK.

Thanks,
Kevin

I have the KTK manual as well as maintenance course notes from Bridgeport.
LARGE PDF.
Need email address.
No repair, parts, support from KTK this side of the pond for years.

George,

My email is: sales @ sennett-tool.com (without the spaces of course.)

Thank you for the reply. I work with several electrical engineers, one of whom is already looking at the MTI-1 board for me. I don't think it will be too difficult to repair as most of the components are available still. But schematics/ wiring diagrams would sure help.

Thanks!

Kevin

The maintenance course went but the PDF of the manual that I have is 21MB in size and will not go.
Let's see if the course notes are enough.

George,

Thanks for the email. The schematics should help for now.

Hi guys,

I checked my MTI-1 board as per the schematic and everything looks ok. I will probe for voltages once the machine is powered up. Brings me to the next problem. The 3-phase power available at my shop is referred to as "high-leg." You get 120v between ground and 2 of the phases, but around 200v on the third phase. How do I connect to the machine to avoid damage from the high leg?

Thanks,

Kevin

Hooking Up High Leg

I have a similar machine (TNC 2500) and all my research says put the high leg in the middle. That's the way mine is done.
How do I get a pdf of the KTK manual?

Just to confirm, I hooked it up with the high leg in the middle, and it powered up ok. Since its only using three hots, and no neutral, it shouldn't really matter which is the high leg. I think.

High Leg

I think it might on mine because it has an optional 110v transformer and when I had it on the first lug it blew the KTK drive breaker.
