boss5 qc30 spindle- should I use er32 or er40?

I want to use a collet system in my quick 30 equipped bp boss5, just wondering if anyone knows if the shank of an er40 collet adapter will fit thru the qc nut or if I have to use er32...I'd like to use er 40 because I will be needing a cat 40/er40 unit for another machine, though I can use a cat40/er32 on there as well if I have to, but it would be nice to be able to go to 1" if necessary.
