DUH what model are you talking about????
Here is what happened: It got to the end of the stroke with the power feed & jumped the track in that it no longer moves left to right. I have heard of this happening before in fact seen it, but I forget what you do to set it to rights. I have this vague memory that there is a collar in there that encloses the worm gear that is designed to separate in extreme circumstances. Or has a shear pin or other such mechanism. This is an old change belt drive model. It is in a college machine shop. I am told this has happened before. I am thinking if I remove the handle mounting braces from the ends I can slide the slide over and expose the worm and see what is going on. One consideration is that it has DRO. I am wondering what the implications of that are. Where can I go for guidance?
Thank You,

if your dead in the water, just take it apart and see what happened. Hit up the surpluss suppliers in your area and see if they already have a powerfeed unit removed and possibly disassembled, maybe you can just buy parts? Or check out icai-online.com if it's a factory installed power feed unit.
If it's an aftemarket chineese unit, good luck, probably better off just replacing it.
might br that you broke the screw holding the feed nut in the nut block. loof beneath the table left side.
