Lagun and Supermax Mills, what are they worth?

My dads company in texas is closing down their shop and they have two mills. They don't have controllers or DRO. The ways look pretty good. I'd really like to have them both, but not sure. A) What are they worth? The lagun is an ft-1 and the supermax is about the same size. Both 9x42. I don't know anything about either brand. B)Also what would it cost to convert one of these over to PC based CNC if i bought a kit to do it or did it myself.

Read the following thread it has all the conversion information, the prices most likely are higher now.

    Vince's BP CNC conversion

Converting a manual mill over to CNC is going to cost alot.

You can send a P.M to Vince and ask for total pricing,
however I would bet 3K to 4.5K would do it

Cool, thanks. What about the value of the machines i'm looking at, assuming they are in decent condition?

    Question

    Douglasco,

Don't know where you are located however the best indicator of asking price might be your local Craigslist or eBay since demand or lack of drives the price.

Also if there are a lot of used CNC machines for sale in your area, why would someone purchase a manual mill for retrofit unless it was almost free?
