BT30 holders 1/2X13 thread

Can anyone recommend a source for BT tooling with the 1/2"x13 threading? Any thing I find on Ebay is 12mm ...........

I have a full collet set in 1/2" and don't want to get rid of it all.

BT is a Japanese spec they are ALL metric.
CAT, on the other hand, is American and WILL have imperial threads.
If you have a BT with 1/2-13 threads it is either bastardized or custom made.
To sum it up, there is a good chance your tool is a CAT 30.

Hmm okay well that's excellent info. My system is definetly not a custom set up. It is a Kurt Power Draw bar. Though I though Machintek said the Kurt system was 1/2x13.......... I must have a wire crossed.

Thanks for the tip on the CAT30, I'll hunt around and see what that turns up.

Peace

EDIT: Found this site showing the specifacations on the CAT tooling. Note the TPI stated for the 30 is in fact 1/2x13

Some of it is listed as NMTB 30, NT 30 or ISO 30. Everything I have is 1/2"-13. I just recently drilled out my spindle (it was an Erickson quick change) to use a power drawbar, and was wondering about the Kurt system. Does yours use a special drawbar? I'm under the impression that they are specific to the power draw bar system. It looks like some systems use a splined head instead of a hex. Where is your drawbar control located?
