| Hello Friends, this weekend a new friend comes to live to my house: A old one (1967 I think), but in realy good working condition, the guides looks as new after a short clean, and all move realy soft and with a surprising near 0 backslash on X !!!, Here the first shots? Anyone knows how to access to the Y feed nut retaining screw, and if this is a splitted one on this year machines?? I will need some help, I've experience in convert small mills to CNC, but this looks diferent, any links to already converted machines, to get ideas? Thanks in advance, I will post me experiences with this machines, Rey |

| move the table back to the column as far as possible. Remove the 4 screws holding the Y axis bearing bracket to the knee. Grap the table and pull it forward to you. The bearing housing will move away from knee. Get a flashlight and look in the knee along the Y axis lead screw. You should see the nut bracket, feed nut retaining screw and its lock screw. George
