Feed override question on Boss 9 control

Hi,

I think my feed override control is bad. As soon as I move it off zero, it seems to go wide open, with nothing in between. It has always been that way, but I managed anyway.

I recently got a DoAll mill with Centroid controls, and its feed override works the way I thought it should, with speed gradually increasing as I turn the dial.

Would the Bridgeport fix be as simple as replacing the potentiometer?

Could be. A potentiometer is a variable resistor. Put an ohm meter on it between the center leg and either outside leg. It should go from zero to its max value in a linear or "audio" curve.
If the potentiometer is OK, then it may be the board.

Thank you for the advice. I tried putting a new potentiometer on, and it still doesn't work. Could you tell me which board could be bad?

Hi, mr. Gillen I have a bridgeport knee mill with the same control and well this is my first time with this kind of control, So, I'm using mastercam to generate the part programs , and I would like to set it up the DNC from my desk computer but I do not know the DNC set up.
