Issue: No communications between pc and trak cnc2. Facts: Communications was working on last pc, 1 week ago. Pc died, os was windows 95 New pc, os now windows 2000. Hd was ok, copied files to new pc. Offline.exe works on new pc. Cabling the same 25 pin at trak to 25pin->9pin serial at pc. I did find some com port settings in a file that suggested it runs at 1200 baud,8 bit with parity. I'm pretty sure I was able to set this up using the mode command at the dos prompt, then started offline and tested with no success. Actual error message: Write fault error writing device com1 Abort, Retry, Ignore, Fail? I also tried com2 Nick Last edited by nick02895; 05-02-2008 at 07:09 AM. |

Ok, I eliminated the hardware as an issue. I used a laptop with the offline.exe software and all the configurations listed and still not working. The laptop's com1 is known to work. Still looking for suggestions, please. Nick |
