I have installed a Hillbilly BOB on my series II cnc and am having problems with the x-y-z axis not moving the correct distance. I had my motor tuning set to 2000 steps per. I wasn,t getting 1.000" axis movement per 1.000" programed distance. I started changing the units until I got an exact movement for programmed amount. This is what I ended up with,x axis 2030, y axis 2040 and z axis 2000. these settings give me .500 travel per .500 programmed distance. Is it normal for these amounts to be different? I expected the values to be the same at least on x & y. Did BP use different leads or pulley ratios on these machines? THANKS! |
