Anyone know what this board is for? R2V3 Boss Machine

Well I've been playing with the machine since it's been needing 2 power ups to get it past it's initilization.

In anycase had this extra circuit board laying around and not sure what it was for. Was wraped in a bridgeport bag so looked to be new or freshly repaired. IN anycase ploped it in and so far (last few power ups) it's been fine. Heck even the LCD screen seems easier/sharper to read. Course the manuals do not specifiy what this card is so perhsp some can help..

Before swaping this card I was playing with turning on the flood coolent on and off and For some reason it also faulted out (drives stopped screen buttons froze up) while powering up and down the flood coolant (something I had not used at all till playing with it now) The motor of the flood powered up and ran smooth and quiet then once it just froze. Not sure what happened but had to re-power up..

Anyway what is this card;s function. Perhaps swaping it had nothing to do with it working now but who knows maybe the previous owner had a spare for a reason..hehe

DPS Drive Power Supply.
Part of IFC/DPS assembly which slides into the drive rack.

Ok..

Although the drive power supply I think is on the left when looking at the rack then the drives and this was in a slide in assembly to the right of the drives in a rack with it and another circuit board above it linked with a small cable. I'll get a pic of it later.

Would it be a possiable causer of the machine not getting through it's init cycle? When it gets hung up all the LEDs on the logic board to the right of this assembly and board stay on after power up. Where if it gets though only a few stay on and some blink.

Just curious.

Also if you have any info on what normaly goes bad on this board that might be good info to know. figure they had a backup with the machine for a reason maybe.

Here is a pic of the boards actual location in the enclosure...

I thought the drive power supply was on the Left side (thing with the large donut shaped transformer which you can't see from the pic is the power supply thing)

See circled area. That is the grid where that particular board plugged in.

Anywho.
