feed overide (bridgeport boss 4)

My boss 4 is giving me problems when i do a G01 feed command regardless of what feed rate i use the feedrate is the same as rapid. When I turn down the feed overide knob it has no effect on the feed. I tried an x axis feed tonite at 4 inches per minute and it was as fast as rapid. does anybody have any ideas. I have checked everything that i know to check. Thanks

Is your machine "stock?"
How are you commanding a G01?

boss 4

In mdi I punch in G01 X-1.500 F40, I have tried N1 G90 G01 X-1.500 F40.
Nothing changes the feed rate , I have tried different F values, anytime it feeds the speed is as fast as rapid. I have tried the overide all the way down to zero, it has no effect. What do you think?
Thanks,
jodybo

You seem to be imputting it in correctly.
It may be a bad RCK board which is the clock board. It has the test points and multi turn potentiometers that are adjusted to set up feed rates and rapid.
But the machine in all its parts works as a unit. I have had bad memory on an LSI board. The customer put in a program and it did not work correctly. Looking at it in the editor, I found it had changed.
Just giving you possibilities.
