Can someone show me how to enter a single line of G code from the pendant and how to execute it...Exemple go1 x-2.0 f2

Is there some sort of pdf document that would show me how to run this machine..I understand G codes since i run my lathe with Turbocnc..Thanks

I have a series 2 with a Boss 6,I assume its the same input.
this is how I do it.
Turn spindle on
Put the Mode switch to Midi Store
Type in:N10G90
Push EOB button ( bottom right black button)
Type in:N20G01X2000F2
Push EOB button
Machine will move to position
After you type in your program in this manner put the mode switch in AUTO,
and FUNCTION switch in Restart and push in,the program should repeat.
Make sure of the number of 0's you type in to get the value you want.
I don,t remeber if 4 0,s are 2inches or 3 o,s is 2inches,just watch the readout as you type in,you can see what value you are at.
I only used the Boss system a short time.
It works fine but is tedious to type a program into.
If you want a good cnc control look into the MACH3 software.
Hope this helps.
The spindle has to be on to execute the moves as you type them in and press EOB.
You can control the feedrate on a G01 input with the feed overide.
Hope someone jumps in if I am off a little on this.

tpmx57 has pretty much got it. However, if you add anaddtional line (N3 M2) this will end the program allowing you to put the selector switch to the start/continue mode. Then when the program finishes, change your piece and hit start again. I am running a boss 4 series I so it should be the same. As far as the feedrate, F40 will give you a feed rate of 4IPM, F80 will give 8IPM and so on. I believe you can go up to F200, although that is a pretty hefty feed. The only other thing is that you can postion the table at the same time as you change to rapid trav. and also when you go back to a set feedrate. ex. N1G0G90x4.000y-.345 and N3G1x5.000F40. The latter will put the machine into feedrate mode and execute 1.000in cut on the x axis at 4IPM with out changing your y posistion. The previous G0 command will rapid traverse the table to that position and the G90 puts the dro into absolute mode. Hope that was helpful!
