| Is there such a thing as a MT-2 to R-8 adaptor? I just bought a Bridgeport Mill with a MT-2 spindle and I already have a ton of R-8 tooling. Need to mate the two up. How can I do it? Thanks, Barney barneyw1@verizon.net |

| Change the spindle or remove the spindle and machine the nose to R8 spec. MT taper is dangerous for milling with. MT taper is not designed to handle side loads. If you made a custom adapter it would be 6" long and would take 5 minutes to change tools. Or you can tool up with new tooling, but you will still have a poor tooling seat.
