Hi, I am new with a Heidenhain control not knowing much about it at all, as it is on a new machine I just purchased Interact 412. My question is, how do I go about setting my machine up so I can drip feed from my PC? Thank you for the help!! |

Hi man and Merry Christmas ! Easy way is to download TNCremoNT from Heidenhain at: http://filebase.heidenhain.de/public...%5D=55#GROUP55 Then you'll ned to check/set communication parameters at the control. A nice thing to remember is to connect the PC first and then start it, not in the other order. Please check this link for all manuals of TNC-2500: http://filebase.heidenhain.de/doku/o...D4/N142D4.html Good luck! BR /Piobaire Hi again! You'll also find this useful :-) Go for HW handshake (on top) and note the short connections in purple. Last edited by Piobaire; 12-24-2007 at 04:29 PM. |

| Hi Thanks for the reply, Where do I get the cable to make it up? How do I go about setting the parameters and how do i get to that part in the system? Sorry for the ignorance but I have no clue about this control, I am still searching on the control trying to figure it out on my own. Thanks again, Greg |

| Hi again! First learn the control a bit, program it and look into the set up manual to get a clue how's it works. Just get a serial computer cable with one male 9-pole D-sub in one end. Then also get a male 25-pole D-sub plug and connect it as the schematics above with a solder iron. Please be very careful about connecting the RIGHT pins, if you've never done it before maybe it's better to consult a friend (or call Heidenhain) Setting the parameters is just done by going in parameter mode on the controller. Press MODE and code "95148" then scroll or search to parameters involved. Baud-rate, parity, stop bit(s) and handshake is importand and must be same on TNC-control and Computer (TNCremoNT) You'll find it all in the manuals. If you're not familiar what you're doing there is very hard to teach over emails. BR /Piobaire |
