Int 412 shuts off on rapid Z axis /M06 or M25/command. No mechanical drag on the Z movement. I have checked ball screw and rotate it by hand / when machine completly shut down/ Swap drive cards to /Z and X/. It shows error on the screen /Gross positioning error B/ It has Heidenhain 151P or Q. Ithink servo motor for Z bad ! Any suggestion. Thanks Jurek |

| Thank You guys for good suggestion . One brush in Z motor had a broken spring / poor contact/ the opposite was getting hot and control was shutting machine. Set of new brushes from Clarkson did the trick. She is running again. Thanks Jurek. |

Glad to hear you have it running again !! I know how it is to have one of your machines Down. If you do a lot of peck drilling you should check and change your brushes often. Brushes are a lot cheaper than a rebuilt Motor. |
