I've outfitted an enco 10x54 bp clone with steppers/geckos and for the most part it is bang up. While I am hunting for some ball screws, ahem and a few extra bucks, to fit into it I believe it would be worth my time to make the nuts antibacklash, I just don't want to reinvent the wheel. Several methods come to mind just thinking of how to do it, however a spring preload type seems to make most sense considering screw wear is so small except the middle few inches of travel. So if you've made some or know of another thread round here that has some info or some pics I would be glad to hear of it. Thanks Mike |
