Hey all, I have a Bridgeport Series II Interact 2 that we picked up a couple months ago, and the Heidenhain TNC 145 that controls it is giving me headaches. Until now I've been able to fix everything that's crapped out on the machine rather easily, but I can't count on that forever. So, I'm shopping for a new controller. I'm in the market for a (used) Heidenhain TNC 150B, 151A or 151B, or even a 155A or B. Does anyone know where I could find one of these controllers that won't cost me a fortune? Also, i'm open to any other controllers that I could use on this machine, as long as they won't take a ridiculous amount of time and labour to install. Thanks for your help! |

| Heidenhain must be handing out different info in different parts of the world.I asked this question of them less than two months ago and it is not a straight drop in according to them over here. PLC`s can be copied if you can read an eprom and programme another one.The control has a standard plc programme in it and the machine builders plc programme in it on an eprom. In the parameters you have the choice of booting using the standard Heid one or the mtb`s one written for the machine. It may be possible that you could swap the eprom from the 145 to the 150 but I`m not sure. |
