ok i think i have fixed my machine today,it had a lot of noise in the pulleys . i changed the timeing belt, it is quieter but when i crank up the speed to 1600 or more the pulleys get louder does not sound normal. my question is are they suppose to run like a drill press smooth or is this normal, it is a 1980 model. thanks alex |

| You cannot expect a 27 year old mill to sound like a new one. But you can get it close. As I said. The most common problem is the vari disc bushings worn out. Check that first. Then possibly the clutches (teeth/drive for high gear). George
