I have an Interact 1 MK2 with a TNC2500 controller. I lost all of my parameters a few months ago, but was able to re-enter them. The machine is cutting and appears to be working fine. The problem is that after the z-axis extends or retracts there is a pregnant pause (about 1.5 sec.) before the program moves onto the the next block of instruction. Any advice is appreciated. Look at servo tweeking, my older controls would have 'moods' where they would do this and I think that is what it is about. Parameter related, see if there is a parameter for acceleration, it might be a bit to slow. I know that what appears as a pause is actually a very long accel/decel ramp. On my newer control [tnc310] it is settable by axis |

| gus We bumped up the acceleration parameters from .2 to 1.5 on addresses 1060.0 to 1060.3 The spindle moves up and down much faster, but we still have a pause at the end of each up/down stroke before the program continues onto the next block instruction. There are a series of parameters from 4110.0 through 4110.47 that are settings for timers, do you have any detail regarding what these timers are controlling? Thank you for your input! Allform |

Sorry, not intimately familiar with this particular control, but I would look at servo tweeking now, it could be the torque output at that last little move is not really moving the servo. oiling comes to mind also, is the ballscrew nice and oily? [reaching here] |
